DCAL Merges with Aurecon
A
merger between Daniel Chan and Associates Ltd (DCAL) of Hong Kong and
international engineering and management consultants
Aurecon was
announced this week.
Daniel Chan, the newly appointed Leader of the merged company in Hong
Kong said “We are delighted to be working with
Aurecon, a
global company with impressive technical expertise. Our current clients
will now be able to access Aurecon’s full range of building engineering
design skills including façade and structural engineering. Our expertise
in sustainable design is highly respected in Hong Kong and China and we
look forward to sharing this with Aurecon’s clients”.
The merger will enhance Aurecon’s capacity to service large
infrastructure projects in Hong Kong and enable its respected building
design team to increasingly service clients of Aurecon’s offices across
Thailand, Vietnam and other Asian countries.
Charlie Miller, Aurecon’s General Manager for Asia, said, “This merger
is part of Aurecon’s ongoing strategy to develop our world class
offering across all aspects of building design. We see great opportunity
in Asia, both servicing clients in the region and in supporting overseas
initiatives in Africa, Australia and New Zealand. Aurecon will also be
able to offer a significantly enhanced sustainable design and
environmental engineering capability in Asia thanks to DCAL’s team and
Daniel Chan’s personal profile and credibility in the industry”.
Daniel added, “Aurecon has good relationships with many clients in Hong
Kong, China, Thailand and Vietnam and other Asian countries and this
merger will increase our capacity to service them on larger projects in
building services and major infrastructure.”
